Mornings...

I have found that some people HATE mornings.. and some people LOVE mornings. Some have to have their coffee before talking to anyone, some jump out of bed chatting away. Some will wake up with a smile, some will wake up with a frown.
I have finally figured out how Kennedy likes to wake up!! She has to wake up on her OWN. She has to be the first one to smile at you and to talk to you. You then have to allow her to stay in bed for a few minutes... roll around in the blankets, possibly play peek-a-boo, say, "hi" in her quiet whisper and then... then she is ready to wake up!! And then when she wakes up she LOVES to go out to the front room and dance!! She is still bobbin' her head as we change her diaper. She is then ready for the day!! It only took me close to 17 months to figure out!! I guess it's better late then never.

A little update...

I can not believe how fast Christmas is coming!! 15 days.. but who is counting. I'm trying to be very realistic this year and take advantage that Kennedy is only 16 months and not over due on the Christmas presents. Its so easy to become so commercialized on Christmas when really we should be celebrating Christ and remembering everything he has done for us.
I am so thankful for my faith and my wonderful Church family who helps me remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Kennedy is getting so big and by big I mean more and more mature. She still is a tiny thing but growing so much. She helped me put up the Christmas tree.. I should have done it when she was a sleep!! She thought it was more fun to take the ornaments off then put them on.
She still loves to talk and when she talks she is telling you a full on story. It was so funny on Thanksgiving, Grams (aunt Cle) was in the kitchen finishing up and Kennedy was in there telling her so many stories. It was really cute!!
She LOVES the phone and will carry it around the house and talk on it.
She LOVES her blanky. If she is tired enough she will get her blanky and just go lay on the floor. You then know its bed time!
She LOVES to play... play with her cousins and her friends. She gets so anxious on Monday morning to get to Aunty Niki's house to play. She is saying "bye" to me before we even pull in the drive way. We're so lucky to have Niki babysit. Kennedy absolutely loves them and its so nice knowing I don't have to worry.
We had Kennedy's pictures taken for Christmas but she just wasn't feeling it this day. Lol.. she looks a little angry!!! I guess you can't be feeling it all the time!!
Here are a few of the pics and some more pics from San Diego. We can't wait to go back!!

Such a cute picture!!!

San Diego

This past weekend Kennedy and I flew to San Diego to visit Aleesha and Ricard. We had so much FUN!!
Kennedy was an awesome traveler and loved every moment. I was stressed about the plane ride, but she did good. She started getting antsy so I'm thankful it wasn't that long of a ride.
We got there Saturday morning and I almost started to cry as soon as we saw Aleesha. Miss her tonz!! They took us down to the beach. We checked out the shops and ate at a great restaurant. After eating we headed to the beach. Kennedy didn't quite know what to think of the sand at first, but once she felt comfortable she LOVED it!!
The next day we went to Sea World. So much FUN!!! Kennedy of course loved it. She would've got in the water and played with the sting rays and sea lions if we would have let her. This girl has NO FEAR!!! It was so funny because when the sea lions would bark it would scare us adults but not Kennedy she thought it was great. They had a great play area for the kids, which Kennedy took full advantage of. She was in heaven running around with all the kids!
Monday we went shopping at some great shops and the most amazing mall. Kennedy seriously kept up with us the entire time. She kept saying hi to people and if they didn't say hi she would get so mad. She is quite the social bee!!
That night Ricard and I decided to make Aleesha a birthday cake. I don't think I have laughed that hard for a long time!! The poor guy is so thoughtful and wanted to make sure we did this cake right. He was at the store for over an hour picking out all the right stuff to make the cake. When he got home he had 2 circle cake pans, mixing bowl, whisk, cake and frosting. I have never made a layer cake but we did it!!! We then lit 25 candles and sang to Aleesha.
Happy Birthday Leesh!!
Tuesday we just hung out at the house and came home. We were so sad to come home. The trip went way too fast.
Thank you Aleesha and Ricard for opening your home up to us and showing us a great time. We love you!!!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!! We had such a great day!! We started with lunch with Grandpa then went up to Grandma's work to trick or treat. Met up with Kennedy's favorite friends ever the Pela's and Sedillos. After we went up to Mom's work and then Dad's work. This was our pre Halloween.
On Halloween we went trick or treating and loved it. Kennedy even started saying, "trick or treat". I'm sure many didn't know what she was saying but we did!! After trick or treating we headed over to Bobbies house to watch the game and play. Thanks again who who for making the cutest costume ever. I don't know what I would do with out you!!
Thank you Haley for taking the cute pics!!! Kennedy now loves having her pics taken that every time she see's a camera she says, "cheese"!! We were at church on Sunday and as Pasture Fields was preaching you here..."cheese". Yep, Kennedy was getting her pic taken and made sure everyone heard it!!

Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze and much more....

Last weekend Kennedy and I went with my parents, Gwen, Kyle and Amber to the Black Forest Pumpkin Patch. The weather was perfect and the company was even more perfect!
Gwen's favorite thing of the trip was definitely the slides. They had various slides built on hay. Kennedy and Gwen are so lucky to have such a great uncle, Kyle. He had taken Kennedy up to go down the slides, Gwen called him over so he sat Kennedy down. He had mistaken Kennedy for Gwen and sent Kennedy down the slide. Everyone was shocked but Kennedy TOTALLY LOVED it!! We were laughing so hard. He felt so bad, but she was definitely okay and loved it!!
It was even funnier the next day to listen to him explain it!! Love you brother!!
Kennedy going down the slide. I'm still laughing!!
Kennedy with Kyle and Amber. You can see my dad in the back ground. He was also such a great sport, he stood up at the top and kept helping the girls down. And my mom was a great sport holding our gear.
My favorite picture!! Kennedy and Gwen going thru the corn maze. They are becoming such good friends. I love it. We were always close with our cousins so its so neat to see our kids becoming so close. They are all getting to the funnest ages!!
(Sorry Amber I stole these pics off your blog. I hope you don't mind!! I couldn't get my camera to cooperate!!)
This is a picture of the big slide that Kennedy went down first!! Lol.. now you can see why everyone was in awe!! We then went to the smaller slides. If it was up to Kennedy tho, she would've kept going down this slide and by herself. She is quite independent!!

Kennedy and I going down the slide.
Kennedy and Grandpa picking out a pumpkin. I hope this will be a tradition. It was so much fun to ride out to the farm and be able to pick your own pumpkin!!

Gwen and I going down the big tube slide. This one was her favorite!!!

Gwen, Kennedy and I riding the train.

Things she loves....

Kennedy is growing so fast and maturing even faster. Time goes by way too quick. Its so fun to watch her learn new things. I thought I would post about a few of the new things she loves:
1. She loves to sweep, mop anything with a broom! Its so funny to watch her, she seriously get so serious when she is sweeping. The funny thing is, she is actually doing it correctly!!
2. Leaves... every morning when walking out to the car she has to pick up a leaf. When walking if there are leaves she has to step on them!!
3. Making the bed.. she loves to help me make the bed every morning. She will pull on the comforter and hand me the pillows. You can tell she is so proud and feels like such a big girl.
4. Books... she loves to have books read to her and to read books to you!
5. Play.. she loves to play.... play... play!!!

Random Pics

Khari and Kenndy watch'n some football on Sunday. Poor Kennedy is so torn... her daddy loves the Steelers... her mama loves the Bears... and her God parents love the Cowboys!!! Hopefully she'll realize the Bears is the team to go for!!!
LOl... Kennedy being cheesy for the camera!!

Now here is a real football team, UNIVERSITY of UTAH!!! We all agree on and LOVE some Utah football!!!

I was cracking up the other morning, I get in the car to see Kennedy posing with her sun glasses. We were laughing so hard!! She knew it was funny, but was not trying to laugh. The sides of her little lips kept going up to smile, but she was trying so hard not too!! She is the biggest tease!!!

Pink.. Pink...SHOES...

Kennedy got a couple pairs of pink shoes for her birthday and she absolutely LOVES them!!
The first thing when she wakes up she goes to the front door to put on her PINK shoes. If you try and take them off she gets upset.
Sometimes I have to hide them so she will wear other shoes because PINK doesn't always match everything!
Okay.. okay.. I know many of you are thinking this is cute.... all I know is..
I'm in so much trouble. She's only 1 and already has such an opinion on what she is going to wear!!!
Above she is sporting her PINK shoes a U t-shirt and the boys shorts!!
The poor thing has had a runny diaper for the past few days. Yesterday at Aunty Niki's she had gone thru all of her clothes so she got to wear the boys shorts. We are so lucky to have such a good sitter who takes such good care of her.

Family Pics

The wall spoke again.....
We finally had our family pictures taken thanks to Amber's Dad and family. They were so gracious to take the time and come take our pictures.
Its been an inside joke for awhile at the McFall home... My mom kept telling Kyle when he got home from his mission that the wall was talking.... In other words he needed to get married because she could so see a family picture on the wall.
The wall did speak to let my mom know that Kyle proposed to Amber.
And the wall has spoken again...
For my moms birthday all of us kids gave my mom our family picture in a frame to go on the wall.
(Thanks Amber for such a great idea and helping my moms wish come true!!)

Happy 1st Birthday Ms. Kennedy

Wow... the time has gone by so fast. I can not believe one year from yesterday we were at the hospital having Ms. Kennedy. Mom and Dad nervous but so excited. Everyone waiting anxiously for your arrival. You were more beautiful then I could've ever imagine. Its been so fun watching you grow and learn this past year.
Few of my favorite things from this past year: learning to walk (keeping your balance), kicking the soccer ball in the living room, falling asleep on grandpa Mac's lap (you love to sleep on his belly), your contagious laugh, getting so excited to play with your friends (Pela, Sedillo and Lapuaho gang), brushing your teeth, reading to your babies, standing up in your crib just smiling and talking to us even tho we are still trying to sleep. I could go on and on...
We LOVE you so much and so thankful that you came into our lives.
You truly are a blessing!!
(below are just some random pics over this past year)
