Let Me...........

... And it has started....Feeding Kennedy last night she insisted that she feed herself. Now, she has done this in the past but its only been a little here and there. Not last night... she had to grab the spoon and feed herself. It is excitting to see her growing up, but the mess that comes along with this.... Oh its just STARTING....!!!

Circle..circle...SCORE!!!

Jasmine has been playing soccer this past spring and is doing so awesome!! Lol... at first its just a bunch of 3-4 yr olds running after one ball. Now... they are actually scoring!! Jasmine scored her first goal and we were so proud. She was able to take it away from the other team and go all the way down the field and score. We're not quite sure why, but she always runs in a big circle and then to the ball. It is the funniest thing. Its much more running then needed but it evidently works!!

She is definitely an athlete!!

We went up to Khari best friend Vals house on Saturday for a pool party, but since it rained all day we ended up doing a karaoke party. Boys... don't quit your day jobs!!!

10 months

I can not believe its already been 10 months since Kennedy was born. The time has gone by so fast. It has been so much fun to see how she has grown over the 10 months. Here are 10 things about Ms. Kennedy:
1. She got her first tooth brush and loves it. You will tell her... "brush your teeth" and she will put the tooth brush in her mouth and just smile.
2. She is crawling so FAST... Lol.. I am hoping she will not be running that fast!!
3. She is like a monkey. She loves to climb on EVERYTHING and she is so good at it.
4. Her new favorite toy is a diaper box!! Lol... she will walk and push it all over the floor... climb on it... look inside... Who would've ever thought a diaper box could be a child's favorite toy!!
5. She loves to drink out of sippie cups... and LOVE mac n' cheese!!
6. She LOVES to scream. It makes your whole day when you walk into the room and she screams with excitement to see you.
7. She has to sleep with her head pressed against the walls of the cribs and her butt in the air.
8. One of our favorite things to do is lay side by side and fall asleep. Nothing is more tender then looking at her peaceful face as we lay next to each other.
9. She loves people... and is so nosey... lol.. she takes after her daddy!! Okay.. okay.. and her mama. She got double whammy on this one!!
10. She loves to play with water. Her new favorite thing in the tub is to grab for the water as it is pouring into the bath tub.
We love you so much Kennedy. You bring so much joy to both your Daddy and I.

Fun wedding filled weekend!!!

My cute little brother Kyle married Amber on Friday morning in the Draper temple. I will post pics soon. They looked beyond beautiful. We started the wedding activities on Thursday night with a family dinner. It was alot of fun to be able to meet Ambers family and even more fun in playing a game of softball against them. Lol.. I'm not too sure who won!!

Friday we were able to see them come out of the temple. It was pouring while we were trying to take pics, but luckily the rain stopped and they were able to finish taking the pictures. I think all of our prayers were definitely answered... it didn't rain at all for the dinner the night before or the reception. The reception was very beautiful and I think everyone had a great time.

Saturday was our friend Leinati and Ren wedding. They also looked beyond beautiful. They seriously have the cutest family ever. We were so excited one of my best friends Pam came from Kentucky. She has not met Kennedy so I couldn't wait for her to meet her. Here are some pics from Saturday:

Khari birthday was yesterday, June 1. Yes, the dreaded Gemini.... and it is true.. they are 2 people!! We didn't get a chance to do much celebrating just went to Costco and then to Chilli's for dinner. However, Jasmine and I did surprise him and have everyone sing to him at Chilli's. We love to surprise him!! Jasmine spent the night, which I think made his birthday to have both his girls with him!! He is such a good daddy and totally adores both his girls.
We love you Daddy....!!! :)

Graduations...BBQ's... and much more...

What a full and fun weekend. Friday we started at Jakiah, Jamiah and Na Na graduation from Layton Christian Academy. We are so proud of these girls and know they will go so far in life. It was a bit tricky keeping Kennedy quiet during this graduation, she definitely loves to talk. Thank goodness there was only 32 graduates and while they were receiving their diplomas she was able to scream along with the others!! She thought it was so great.
After graduation we stopped at our friends Stacy and Marks house who was having a BBQ. Thanks guys for a great time.
Saturday, we continued the graduation celebration and went to Na Na's BBQ and then to the twins BBQ. Its always fun to hang out with everyone from the church. Great times!! Thanks Monica and Anthony for the delicious ribs. Kennedy got her first taste of BBQ sauce and I think she's diggin it!! We were able to spend some time with Khari cousin C4 and Shavoni. They are so funny and always fun to hang out with. We love when they come visit.
Monday, our friend Carmen had a beautiful baby girl so went and saw them up in Ogden then to Khari aunt and uncles for another BBQ. Love BBQ's ... they seriously cook the best food. His uncle is famous for his potato salad and the ribs were definitely on point. Thanks Aunt Cle and Marshal for the yummy ribs.
The weekend went by so fast, but we had tonz of fun. Kennedy was such a trooper and loved hanging out with everyone.

9 month check up and much more

I can not believe 9months has already gone by since Kennedy was born. She is now weighing 17.01 lbs and is 26 3/4inches. I think she's going to be a shorty like her mom! She is only in the 24% in weight, 23% in height and 45% head circumference. She did so awesome at the doctors. Yeahhh... no shots this time. They just had to prick her big toe and test her iron levels which were good. She didn't even cry!! The doctor said she is doing really good and looks VERY healthy!!
She is the happiest baby. She will just laugh and laugh which of course makes you laugh! She is crawling all over and loves to pull herself up on things. She has walked down holding the couch and thought she was beyond neat. She went to clap and of course fell and just laughed!! She loves to eat big people food. Mothers day we gave her some french toast and she was totally digging it. It is so fun to see her grow!!
Happy Birthday Jasmine!! Jasmine turned 4 yesterday and is turning into such a young lady. She had her first soccer game on Saturday which was alot of fun. Lol.. it was really just a bunch of confusion and kids running after one small ball, but it was so much fun to watch. She seemed to have a good time and I'm sure once they catch on a little more she will enjoy it that much more.
Kennedy absolutely loves it when Jasmine comes over. I think the newness is starting to rub off and Jasmine has realized that Kennedy isn't leaving but she is such a good big sister. Its just having to get used to sharing all the toys!
Its hard to think I'm a mom. Mothers Day was awesome.... Khari made me and the girls breakfast, had an awesome sermon at Church, made dinner for my mom and then visited my Grandma. It was a lot of fun my aunt and cousins came over to my moms with mine and my brothers family and had dinner. It was so cute to see all the cousins together. I love that our family is growing. We definitely missed my dad on Mothers day but was glad that he went to spend it with his mom. We also missed Khari mom being here but hopefully we can get out there soon. I can't wait for Kennedy to meet her daddy's family!
